Over the years, God has blessed our Hmong American churches with an increasing number of talented doctors, advanced practitioners, nurses, pharmacists, and medical assistants. For Yexusfest 2020, Grace Hmong Alliance Church will coordinate a medical missions team to serve throughout the conference. We want to invite health professionals and college students pursing medicine to join us in this collaborative effort. Services provided will range from preventative screening and education to basic health care and first aid. May this opportunity ignite a fire in many of us to pursue medical missions long-term.
We pray this short-term effort will not only serve an important need during the conference but also have a long-term impact. It will be an opportunity for us to mentor young Hmong adults in Southeast Asian countries to pursue health careers and serve their local communities in the future.
To maximize efficiency and impact, we ask that all those interested be able to commit to virtually meeting 1-2 times per month (30-60 minute sessions) in the 5-6 months leading up to the event. This will allow us all to get to know each other, brainstorm ideas, and work better as a system at the event.
If you feel called to serve with us or have further questions, please contact: Dr. Duachy Vang (Niam Vam Koob Vaj) at: firstname.lastname@example.org. If you are not able to join us but have recommendations and/or would like to donate supplies and/or resources, please feel free to contact us to discuss.
